Election Day 2008
It felt like Christmas morning - went to bed hopeful, awoke to great present - my new president and just the one I had asked for.....then attended an election breakfast 'party' at the home of the new Consulate General that started at 5:00 a.m. though I rocked up only at 6:30 after watching McCain concession speech at home. Met a cultural attache (nice job!) through my friend Elise (pictured) and revelled with some compatriots - a nice dose of Americana.
